I got the new Viewty Smart and find it really good. The only bad points i have is that it is a tiny bit slow on loading the messages when you want to send one and that the wallpapers have the widgets over them. Other than that I love the phone!

it´s horrible to write short messages. the keypad is very slow, so you type incorrect letters. the problem is the same in both screens landscape with qwerty and portrait with t9.
the camera on the phone has many functions but the way to choose them is hard. until you have found the smileshot function - the smile in your girlfriends face freezes to grin. 
but in total - the gc 900 with s-class is a great phone with many and really useful applications. any things have to be enhanced but yet still its great.

Hello there, I just got my viewty smart.
And erm, I just love it.
I had a problem with accepting calls and calling people. because the light sensor was too sensitive. So I can't pick up calls when I'm not in the sun. yeah. but i love my phone.

Hey Siegfried, what firmware did you change. Mine's just been in for repair adn looks as though they've upadted it (got the three buttons instead of the slider) but is still quite slow.

Plus...(daft question maybe) how do you change firmware>

No doubt it is a good phone but nothing distinct apart from camera perspective. Even Samsung star is similar but it is  3.2Mp but it has got various widgets functionality and other social networking capabilities easy to use.

If you were asked to choose between these, which one will you opt for ?

I bought a GC900 because Android and Apple phones cost too much, and because I wanted to replace my GPS, compact camera and old phone with one device.
The camera kicks ass. I tried the camera and video on an Android G2 and that sucked. I needed something good, so I got this.

I've had it for about six months and have mucked around with pretty much everything it can do.

POSITIVES:
8 megapixel camera, really good quality for a phone
DVD-resolution video recording, good enough for casual use
1.5GB built-in memory
Expandable memory. I've got a 4GB miniSD card in it, but it goes up to 32MB
Really slim. My last phone was a thick Sony-Ericsson, so this one feels pretty small
Great for video playback. I've put TV shows on it at 640x480 resolution
OK for music playback. Interface slightly clunky though
FM radio - it can store 30 channels. Nice interface
GPS works fairly quickly and doesn't use much data

NEGATIVES:
No native game support. M-Toy is dead, Java games are about all there is. It's no iPod touch.
Flash support is a token effort, slow and tacked-on
The touchscreen is way less responsive than any smartphone's. TRY before you buy!
Browsing is awkward. It's fast enough, but pinch-to-zoom gets irritating
Email integration: I've given up. I just check it through the browser now
No 3.5mm headphone socket, only the LG adapter, which isn't very secure
The PC software sucks. I copy things directly in Explorer, which is faster and easier

I use the phone for photographs, audiobooks, music, a few simple games, GPS, and watching video. It's a nice-looking phone and I think I'll have it for at least 2-3 years, then perhaps I'll get an Android.

i think the phone is great!!

iv had this phone for 6 months now and its good so far

PROS:

The LED flashlight is great and very bright.
The screen is very responsive but only to my thumbs for some reason.
There is no lag at all.
Tons of equalisers for the phone.
Video and Music are great thanks to Dolby mobile.
Fm radio looks just like a real one with the spin wheel.
Wifi is really really fast.
Texting is great... when landscape its even better!
Video quality is quiet good especially the 120fps
I LOVE THE FEATURE THAT LETS YOU LOCK BASSICALLY ANYTHING FROM ORGANISERS AND MEMOS TO CONTACTS, YOU FILES(IMAGES,MUSIC..) EVEN YOUR MESSAGES!!!!!!

CONS:

Although the camera is 8mp   it isnt as good as it sounds unfortunatly.

Interface....rather have a different one... where you could have themes..
Try to record a call and when you listen to it..you will sound like you have a tooth brush stuck in your throat while your talking (you only not the person your calling).
